What’s different

Washington state is called Southern British Columbia.
Nevada is called Independent Nevada (so perhaps it is not actually a state).
Much of California's coastline has eroded eastward.
North Dakota and South Dakota are combined into one state called Dakota.
Kansas and Oklahoma are combined into one state called Midland.
Texas is divided into two states, North Texas and South Texas.
Louisiana is called Louisiana Territory.
Michigan's Upper Peninsula is not a part of the country.
North Carolina and South Carolina are combined into one state called Carolina.
West Virginia and Virginia are combined into one state called District of Virginia.
